It’s Week 1 of the 2017 NFL season, which means football is officially back!
I added the Sports Package to my Playstation VUE subscription (which might I add is amazing) in order to get NFL RedZone. Sunday morning got a little busy for me, but luckily I have RedZone set as a favorite and PS VUE will DVR it automatically. Good thing too…because by the time I finally sat down to watch, I was already 2-hours behind live action.
With so much time passed, I skipped the DVR recording and jump to Live TV in order to catch up by Kickoff for the Sunday Night game. Needless to say, by skipping the recording, I didn’t get a chance to see a lot of the action that probably would have made great material for this post.
I did catch Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford get intercepted by Arizona Cardinals DB Justin Bethel who displayed a mean stiff-arm en route to a Pick-6 (interception returned for TD).
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor threw an INT in similar fashion versus the New York Jets, but when you play the J-E-T-S just about anything silly can happen. The Jets defense clearly had a path to return the INT for 6 but being the clowns that they are, teammates run into each other preventing a possible defensive TD. Typical Jets behavior.
Another minor notable…Cleveland Browns rookie QB DeShone Kizer scores 1st career touchdown against a stingy Pittsburgh Steelers defense. Regardless of the outcome, it always nice to see rookies get that 1st career TD.
I’m positive there was a lot more action I missed but that’ll have to do for this recap of Week 1.
