The Inside Scoop

Texting has become an addicting phenomenon over the past several years.  With advancements being made on the mobile front, technology has made a major impact on how we communicate.  From quick replies to choosing the right emojis, women know it all when it comes to texting! It seems like everyone has a cell phone these days. As these handheld devices become more popular, some get high-end cell phones before even receiving a Driver’s License.

When I’m out and about I have a tendency to notice whose on their phones and who isn’t. Both women and men have their fair share of attraction to texting but for women, cell phones have become as much of an accessory as purses and jewelry!

When it comes to women and their phones, there is one thing that they all have in common and that’s their love for texting. Whether you’re a social butterfly or a loaner, for most, texting has become the preferred method of contact. To get more insight on the topic, I asked my wife to provide us with some insight.

What do you enjoy most about texting?

“It’s convenient. When you get a message, you can respond whenever you want.  With the phone, you may not like the conversation and be stuck on a call for a long period of time.  With texting, you can avoid those long drawn out conversations.”

What about expectations on response time?

“Depends on who it is.  Obviously, with family, you want to be able to respond quickly in case there is something important going on.”

So far, I got that convenience and ability to respond whenever you want (depending on the person of course), but I already know this is just the tip of the iceberg.
