The Best Messaging App for Android

As smartphones continue to rule our existence, they’ve also become the main source of communication.

For years mobile consumers have had a stock messaging apps forced down their throats by some of the most popular manufacturers in the world. But as technology advances, developers got smarter and more focused on building apps that people actually want to use.

As an Android user, I’ve tried multiple SMS apps and in my opinion, there’s no need to look any further.

Today, smartphones rule the world and have become the main source of communication. As an Android user, I’ve tried multiple SMS apps and in my opinion, there’s no need to look any further. In my opinion, Textra is hands-down the best message app for Android. It’s user-friendly and very customizable. Here’s a deeper look into some of the apps best features.

TEXTRA SMS

Theme & Bubble Colors

Textra allows users to customized the overall theme colors as well as the message bubble colors. This is probably one of the most important features. Adjusting these settings allows you to customize your conversations; with a large selection of colors to choose from you’ll have your convos looking stylish in no time.

Bubble & Emoji Style

Another key feature that I love is the bubble styles. If I’m not mistaken, the earlier versions of this Textra didn’t many to chose from, but as updates were released more options became available. There are about 8 different bubble styles to choose from and have most styles seen on popular apps and devices. And if that weren’t enough, Textra also offers several different emoji style packs. Emoji styles differ depending on the device, so having these options will make your messages more visually appealing.

App Icon Color & Text Size

Similar to bubble and theme colors, Textra also allows you to customize the color of the app icon. They even make it easier for you; by selecting “match”, the application will automatically adjust the app icon color to match your theme color. Plus, having the ability to change the text size is a major plus.

In a Nutshell

The only downside to this app is the limitation on fonts. I believe at the moment there are only 3 standard fonts to choose from. Prior to the latest update, there were only 2 fonts so with the recent addition it leads me to believe there is a chance more fonts are on the way.
