Second Guess

After some minor research I found out that the name I chose for my Podcast was not as unique as I thought it was.

When I first decided to start my own podcast, the main thing I was concerned about was creating a name that would be genuine and relatable to the audience I was trying to connect with; but it seemed like the more I researched, the more I came to the realization that this was going to be harder than I thought.

I came across another podcast with the same name which made me second guess my decision to name both my website and podcast The Social Introvert. In the beginning it made sense to name my website after the podcast, but I decided that I wanted the website to be more of an online magazine then a website for my podcast. However, to keep everything tied to my “brand” I figured a small tweak in the name would be enough to create a new name that hasn’t been used before. So I rebranded the website as Intro Magazine.

Let me tell you, after a few sleepless nights and a ton of indecisiveness I decided that I liked the name and was going to roll with it until recent. To make a long story short, I found out that there is already a magazine called INTRO and although its mission is a little different than mine, there were some similarities that was enough to make the wheels start turning. With the growing popularity of podcasting, I’ve come to terms with having a similar name to another podcast. I decided to stick with The Social Introvert but try to find creative ways to incorporate it across all my social media platforms.
