My website and podcast are my go to outlets when I want to express and showcase my individual creativity.
I’m super excited that I got my podcast off the ground and finally came to terms with what I want to do with this website. From finding the right photo for my next blog post to jotting down topics for my next podcast episode, once I get in the zone I can brainstorm for hours.
I often catch myself daydreaming about podcast and website related task, and before you know it, I’m so far down the rabbit hole that I have to force myself to snap out of it.
I’ve had my fair share of days where I wish I was poolside, drink in hand, and focusing 100% on developing more content for my podcast and website…
The last time I recall voluntarily working extra long hours, was during my internship as a Basketball/Video Operations intern with the NY Liberty (WNBA). I feel that same kind of commitment whenever I’m creating content for my podcast, website, and social media platforms. Even seeing my website URL mature from thesocialintro.wordpress.com to thesocialintro.com was a small milestone but proof that I’m headed in the right direction.
After publishing over 30+ podcast episodes and over 50+ articles/post, I think I’m finally ready to share more of my creativity with the world…
For a while I was stuck in a place where I wasn’t stimulating my mind. The daily routine of wake up, go to work, come home, go to sleep and do the same thing all over again was getting old fast. So as my desire to abort the rat race grew, I started putting more time into developing content for my website and podcast.
Every now and again I toy with the idea of going back to school but that bubble gets burst once I start thinking about all the bills that come along with it…
I was never big on reading but the more I craved going back to school I started to realize that there’s a lot out there that I can teach myself and learn by just picking up a book and reading. I have a long list of books that I’ve been dying to get. Not sure when or how I’ll find time to read them but I’ll worry about that part when the time comes.
On the flip side, thanks to Google and YouTube, I can learn new things from the comfort of my own home. Knowledge is power and I never want to stop learning. The moment I stop learning is the moment I become useless.
