When I first started producing audio and video content, I didn’t have a ton of equipment. So like most, I started recording on my mobile device. I was really excited about starting my podcast, and after pricing a few mics, I quickly realized that the voice recorder on my phone was enough to get me by. However, I knew I needed to buy a professional-grade microphone if I wanted to improve the overall sound quality of my recordings. After researching several types, I decided to go with the Sudotack ST-800 USB Condenser Microphone. The mic is still fairly new, however the few times that I’ve used it, I could immediately hear the difference in sound quality.

I chose the Sudotack ST-800 because it was a great microphone for beginners, and for all of the accessories that were included. I don’t have a large recording studio or even an office for that matter. Right now I have a small workspace but this particular microphone kit is ideal for any space. Plus, with the affordable price point (for all that you get), it was hard to turn this one down. Therefore, if you’re a newbie Podcaster, this is the perfect place to start. When it comes to Tech gear, especially when I’m recommending a product, I try not to get too caught up with the specifications (unless it’s completely necessary). In this case, those interested may want to know information regarding sample rates and frequency response.
I like to keep my reviews direct and to the point. I share features and aspects that were beneficial to me and hope you’ll benefit from them too. Microphones and other audio equipment can get pricey, but don’t let that stop you from starting that podcast or recording your first video. The Sudotack ST-800 USB Condenser Microphone is perfect for the beginner/self-starter. It took me a while to give in and purchase a mic, but with this kit, I know I won’t have to worry about upgrading any time soon.
